I'm Katie Grigoratou, a psychologist and psychotherapist. I have a BA in Psychology from York University, Canada, an MSc in Positive Psychotherapy from the University of Central Lancashire, and an Advanced Certificate in Ecotherapy from the Pacifica Graduate Institute.

My passion for psychology began in my teens and has continued far beyond my formal education. Over the years, I have read extensively, attended seminars, and pursued postgraduate and professional training, driven by a desire to better understand the human mind and what shapes the way we think, feel, and relate to one another.

The more I learn, the more convinced I have become that human beings are incredibly complex and unique. No two

people experience the world in exactly the same way, and no single psychological theory can fully explain every person. What does connect us, however, is that we all develop patterns and strategies to help us feel safe, meet our needs, and navigate the world. Some of these are conscious, while others operate outside our awareness.

My role as a therapist is not to provide ready-made answers, but to support you in exploring your own experiences and discovering what you need, what you may no longer need, and what might be keeping you stuck. Together, we can develop a clearer understanding of your patterns and find ways to draw on the strengths and resources you already have.

I don't believe psychotherapy is about making you into someone stronger, better, or more capable. It is about recognizing that you already possess abilities and resources that may have become difficult to access—and learning how to use them in ways that support the life you want to live.
